Construction Safety Week 2020

Safety in construction is vital. It ensures tradespeople can concentrate on their work and conduct themselves comfortably without fear of accident or injury day after day. Aside from preventing harm to individuals, safe workplaces ensure construction can proceed as efficiently and profitably as possible. Awareness of safety measures and practices strengthens the entire sector.

At this time more consideration than ever must be put into safety as tradespeople continue to conduct essential work amidst the global pandemic.

Construction Safety Week 2020

Construction Industry Federation is the Irish construction industry’s representative body which provides training, advice, reporting, financing, promotion and more for the entire construction industry.

CIF’s Construction Safety Week 2020 is just concluding. Throughout the week and across the country, events promoting the safety and wellbeing of all construction personnel took place. Each day featured a different topic with accompanying seminars and talks:

• Monday 19th October: Mental Health, Welfare and Wellbeing in Construction
• Tuesday 20th October: Plant and Pedestrian Safety
• Wednesday 21st October: Occupational Health in Construction
• Thursday 22nd October: Working Safely at Height
• Friday 23rd October: Emergency Preparedness

Play Your Part

Workplace safety is everyone’s responsibility. We must conduct our work in a safe manner and be aware of hazards. We at Würth Ireland wanted to play our part at promoting workplace safety. We visited BAM Construction and distributed PPE to staff members on site.
